Chilli chicken could be a common Indo-Chinese dish of chicken Starter or Appetizer. Here boneless chicken is marinated in egg, Cornflour, Maida, and Salt and after that rotisserie and prepared in sauces to get the best Chinese stew chicken. Chili Chicken tastes hot, sweet and acrid, due to Soy Sauce, Chili Sauce, and Vinegar. This popular Chinese Dish is best to present with Fried rice and Hakka noodles. This Chili Chicken Recipe is well known in eateries and there they more often than not utilize Ajinomoto (Monosodium glutamate) to give a one of a kind flavor, however, I haven't utilized Ajinomotto and my bean stew chicken formula still it tastes awesome.

500 g boneless chicken 1 to 1-1/2 inch pieces.

Ingredients for marination

3 tbsp. corn flour                                             1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. black pepper powder                             1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
2 tsp. soy sauce                                               1 egg
1 tsp. salt

Ingredients for gravy

1 medium size onion Cut into cubes             1 medium size capsicum cut into cubes
2 tsp. chopped garlic                                     1 tsp. chopped ginger
2-3 green chilies                                            4  tbsp. tomato sauce
2 tbsp. red chili sauce                                   1  tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt                                                   1  tsp. red chili powder(Optional)
1 tbsp. soy sauce                                           3  tbsp. corn flour
2 pinch MSG (Optional)                               2  tbsp. sesame oil or refined vegetable oil

Prep. time-10 Min.|Marination time-30 Min.     Cook time-20 Min.|Servings-4 

How To Cook Chili Chicken Recipe


Transfer all ingredients required for marination into the chicken. Mix it very well & keep aside for 30 min.


Heat oil on high flame, turn the flame on medium then add chicken pieces one by one. Get them till they turn nice golden 5 to 7 minutes.


Heat another pan, add oil, add chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies, sauté it for 30-35 sec. add onion and capsicum.


Fry it on high heat, add all sauces, vinegar salt (you can add red chili powder).mix it very well.


Add corn flour (add 3 tbsp. cornflour into 250 ml of water) make the slurry. Add it gradually, mix with another hand. Add chicken stock it is totally optional .cook it low to medium flame 2-3 minutes.


Now add fried chicken into this gravy & mix well. You can adjust the consistency of gravy as you need. Stir fry it up to 10 minutes. Now it’s ready to be served. Our yummy and delicious chili chicken is ready. You can serve with fried rice, plain rice or jeera rice.
